Wait, One More For The Road - The Monster Lens

Have you received $99,000 for just sitting around? If you do, you too could be the owner of this monster lens. My thanks to Bill Kissam for pointing me to the "Mother of All lenses" story right here. It's Canon's very rare Canon 1200/5.6L USM lens. There are "more than twelve, less than twenty" of them in existence. They were produced at the rate of about 2-per-year and a delivery time of about 18 months. Throw it on a Canon 40D with a 2x tele-extender and you end up with 3840mm F11 optic! As they said over at B&H - "Operators standing by."

Hey gang, really got to go now - see you tomorrow --David

  1. Oh yeah? Then meet the grandmother of them all. By Canon as well, check out the size of the camera at the end of the lens.
