Thoroughly B-School Thursday

Good Morning Everybody,
This idea has been in my head for a while now. While Technique Tuesday has been quite a hit with the tutorials on photography and Photoshop, many of Thursday's posts have been about sales, marketing, and business building.

So here is what I am thinking - I'm going to focus this topic as the lead story every Thursday. I'll discuss ideas on starting, building, growing, and enhancing your photography business whether it falls in the "full time", "part time", or "emerging pro" category. Let me know if you like this idea. I'll run with it for a while and see what the feedback looks like. With that said, how about our first edition of "Thoroughly B-School Thursday"...

    Hey just wanted to let you know that I truly appreciate your blog! And of course your work of art.

    Some times we forget that one of the most important factors in our industry is managing our business.

    Do you plan to name it "Thoroughly B-School Thursday"...?

    If so, what does it stand for?

    David - would love the B-School Thursday. I think I am ready to do some stuff for money. I am not sure where to start and how to jump in. I would appreciate if you cover these topics.

    I think that's a great idea. With all the tips and tutorials on the web for photography it seems the business side of the house is mostly overlooked.

    BTW - with all the blogging you do is sleep even an option?

    I have been struggling, like most, to improve my marketing while also improving my technique. I think this is a great idea and I look forward to your advice.

    I have been a loyal reader for for almost two years and look forward to the newest "daily" from DPT.

    Thanks for everything you do. It has helped me a lot. I especially enjoyed my DVD copy of the Digital Pro Tour. I have used that as an essential tool along with my copy of Light, Science, & Magic. Both have provided muliple interpretations of the same information. Keep 'em coming.
