I made this image a few years ago, but it is still one of my favorites. The simple presentation of the bride against the new spring blossoms is striking in its simplicity. I illuminated the bride with my off camera flash to create the beautiful loop lighting on her face. I also used a shutter speed of 1/400 second so that I could over power the ambient light and keep the subject in the "flash sync" part of the image area to get the lighting result I was looking for. The short lived blossoms were blown away by the next day making this image truly a rare moment in time. Camera specs; Canon 20D fitted with 70-200mm IS lens at 130mm, F4.0 @ 1/400 second, ISO 100. Enjoy, --David

David,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you must get this question a lot, but I still must ask. My wife & I are just getting started and have signed our second wedding. Do you have any books or guides you could recommend?
