I have serious doubts regarding this rent-a-library business model. Once you read a book, it becomes reference material from this moment on. A service that keeps books strictly online, would therefore require one to pay for it regularly for what can potentially be the rest of one's professional career. In the long run this is unfeasible and ends up more expensive than buying the book the "old-fashioned way". I have yet to see a service that allows one to buy & download ANY book, as a regular PDF. This, I believe, is the model that would work best for any professional literature, be it one related to photography or something else.
