"Morning Fury"

Morning Fury

Here is one of the images I made while out in Las Vegas this week.  We arrived last Saturday and it rained most of the day Sunday.  We finally saw the sun try to break through Monday morning.  This image was from our hotel window that morning.  The sun didn't last long though.  It was cloud covered again in no time.  The sun's rays bursting through the clouds did give quite a dramatic view for the brief amount of time - just long enough to capture the shot. I tweaked highlights, shadows, and contrast just a bit in Lightroom for added effect. Camera specs: Canon 7D fitted with 18-200mm IS lens at 155mm, F 8.0 @ 1/200 second, ISO 200.  Enjoy!  -David

  1. Thanks for this David. I love that you're mostly recognized for your wedding portraiture, yet your landscapes and urban images are always fantastic. This one has really great mood and form.
