That's right, George Hurrell, one of the Hollywood Masters of portraiture was born right here in Covington, KY in 1904. That's like 5 miles from me. I have always loved his work throughout the many years. George was truly a master of his craft. He ended up moving to Laguna Beach via Chicago about 21 years later. He was a painter as a first choice, but switched to photography as a more reliable source of income. Hey you can read George's whole story right here.
