"Sealed With A Kiss"

"Sealed With A Kiss"
© David A. Ziser

This was one of the last images I made of Marc and Kristen before they joined their wedding reception. They were just spending a quiet moment together right after the ceremony. The sun had made it's exit under the horizon, and the evening's afterglow was turning into night. I love that rich cobalt blue the top of the sky takes on mingling with the last vestiges of sunset before it finally dips down past the horizon.
The contrast of those deep rich blue tones with the last wisps of sunlight, I think are some of the most beautiful moments of any sunset's cinematic presentation. This back lit image is one I try to produce for each of my wedding clients as they truly love the results.
Camera specs; Canon 40D fitted with 10-22mm lens at 17mm, F5.6 @ 1/25 second, ISO 800.
Enjoy! -David

  1. I HOPE YOU've been told, you are not only a VERY talented Photographer but your old school with new technology. Meaning... your a true professional, a gentleman and just exhibit nothing but class. Not a suck up, I have no need, but it's so dang good to see in today's world.

  2. Working with David for so many years I have had the opportunity to appreciate; not only how amazing he is at his craft, but how great a person he is, and how hard he works for his art. I am privileged to have David and his lovely wife LaDawn as my friends.

  3. Absolutely stunning! I'd love to see the area above their heads compressed (rather than cropped, to preserve the color) to about half the current height to give even more of a cinematic feel to the image.

  4. David, what is illuminating the couple from camera's view. Obviously there is some light coming from somewhere on their fronts. Is it an on camera light dialed down?
