Here is another image from the Master Class taken this week. Although our model was posing as a groom, you can see that the location, lighting, expression all work for an executive portrait as well. I think it's the rich look of the cherry wood and the shallow depth of focus with the long lens that gives me that feeling. Anyway, lighting was simple - Quantum through a 36" translucent umbrella while slowing down the shutter to pick up the ambient light. Camera specs; Canon 40D fitted with Tamron 28-300mm lens at 168mm, F5.6 @ 1/25 second, ISO 400. Enjoy! -David
