My favorite aspect of this image are the arabesque lines created by the leaf strands. The way they curl around almost reminds me of a cloud chamber used to trace the paths of atomic particles (Where did that one come from - actually, if you didn't know, my background is Physics and Engineering. Yep, I'm "geeky" through and through.) We have the curly lines offset by the strong diagonals of the palm frowns themselves. These diagonals are further repeated within each leaf frown itself too. I just like the design of the image overall. Camera specs: Canon 20D fitted with Canon's 70-300mm DO IS lens at 185mm, F16 @ 1/80 second at ISO 400. Enjoy! --David
