"Forest Morning"

I made this image during our walk through the woods this past Sunday. I love the simplicity of the image - it's color, texture, and direction of light combine for a simple statement about the beauty of the fall season. It is a simple macro shot, but the direction of lighting was created with my 580EX II flash placed very close to the subject at 1/8 power and triggered with a Quantum Freewire. Camera was a Canon 40D fitted with a 100mm F2.8 macro lens set to F 11 @ 1/250 second at ISO 200. Enjoy! --David
