"Sunset At Cadillac Mountain"
©David A. Ziser
We arrived about 5 minutes till the sun was setting. The clouds were already ablaze with color. The sun did duck behind some thick clouds before it's final fall below the horizon, but even behind the clouds, it worked it's breathtaking sunset magic on the clouds remaining in the sky. At the peak of Cadillac Mountain you can wonder the rim and get some great vantage points from almost any direction. This vantage point turned out to be one of my favorite. The sun was setting slightly to the left but left a wonderful radiance to the clouds you see in this image. The Sigma wide angle lens added to the dramatic effect of this beautiful landscape. Camera specs: Canon 7D fitted with Sigma 8-16mm super wide angle lens at 8mm, F 6.3 @ 1/60 second, ISO 400 Enjoy! -David
Hey David - too bad I missed you - I live 30 minutes north of Bar Harbor, have done many weddings there, including at the top of Cadillac Mtn! Next time, lobsters on me!

Hi David,
ReplyDeleteBar Harbor is my hometown and it is wonderful to see that you are enjoying your stay! Sorry about the crowds - next time you are in town I can show you the roads "less traveled"...
cheers!
