"Misty Morn"

Actually, I made this image last evening from the dock of a local restaurant in Bar Harbor Maine, the Chart Room. It was a quaint little place where the locals dine, as the menu said, and had some great food. In addition to the food, the views were beautiful too. LaDawn was mid sentence when the fog lifted slightly and I saw the boat effortlessly resting on the calm water. It had rained for most of our drive from Boston to Bar Harbor yesterday, but by now had stopped and the fog was just beginning to lift. I made my excuses to LaDawn, grabbed the camera and captured this image. I love the peaceful tranquility this almost monochromatic image presents to the viewer – just like a picture postcard. LaDawn excused the interruption and joined me on the dock to enjoy the view, too. Camera specs: Canon 7D fitted with 18-200mm IS lens at 200mm, F 6.3 @ 1/320 second, ISO 500. Enjoy! -David
Nice image, David. Be sure to visit Somesville, Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor while you are on Mt. Desert Island. And, if you are into classic automobiles, be sure to visit the auto museum in Seal Cove - I guarantee you will be impressed. Tim Jeffries
