"Lady In Red"

Lady In Red"Lady In Red"

Well, she's not really wearing red, but she is certainly surrounded by the over abundance of red throughout the room.  This was one of my favorite images from Wednesday's session.  The light was flooding in from one medium sized window to her right.

I carefully positioned her profile against the background so as to avoid any kind of distracting elements that may have added conflicting elements to the finished composition.  It's best to locate and select a clean area in the background that doesn't compete with that beautiful profile view.

The wide angle lens also worked perfectly in this situation.  I tried a horizontal composition but the vertical view picked up a lot of the ceiling detail which I think works well for this image.  Overall,  I thing the rich red color, the dynamic lines, and beautiful lighting make for a great portrait.

Camera specs:  Canon 5D Mark III fitted with Sigma 12-24 lens at 15mm, F5.0 @ 1/100 second,  ISO 1600.  Enjoy!  David
