"Variation On A Theme"

Here is another image from the same shoot as yesterday's image. In fact, it was taken just 90 seconds earlier. I was playing with the Fisheye, but in this instance, I wanted the view to be from a very high vantage point. Here is how I pulled it off. First, I attach my camera to a four foot monopod. I pre-focused on the couple and then set the camera to manual mode so it won’t refocus. I set the shutter for a 10 second delay with the self timer. Then I pressed the shutter release. About 7 seconds into the delay, I lifted the camera over my head extending the 4 foot monopod, framed up the subject as best I could, and let the camera take the picture. Here you have it - a completely unique perspective and different image for the bridal couple. Camera specs; Canon 40D fitted with Sigma 8mm Fisheye, F5.6 @ 1/50 second, ISO 800. Enjoy! -David
David why would you use a fisheye instead of a wide angle in this shot? Asthetically or what was your motive?
ReplyDeleteMr Z. another fine techique, not a big fan of fisheye lens, but it makes for something fun and interesting.
