Tuesday: Meet Me At The PhotoProExpo Convention Later This Month

Good Morning Everybody,
Hey gang, I’m in and out today but first some quick news. Let me tell you about the best photography convention in the world happening later this month in Covington, Kentucky. Its called PhotoProExpo [link]. Programs begin on Thursday, January 22 and continue through Tuesday, January 27, 2009.
The convention has a GREAT line up of talent this year. One of the BIG highlights of this year's convention is the Friday all-day program which kicks off with Lightroom Killer Tips guru, Matt Kloskowski, leading the Lightroom 2 LIVE tour [link] .
The next 4 information jammed packed days include speakers on about everything photographic – weddings, portraits, seniors, business, workflow, marketing and on and on.

One of our other headliners is celebrity wedding photographer, Joe Buissink, one of the best photographers in the country. I could rant forever on what a wonderful opportunity this convention provides, but why don’t you check out all the PhotoProExpo convention info right here. Get yourself registered. I promise, this will be your most exciting photographic experience of the year. I'll be there most everyday and I hope to see you there!!!

Monday Again, and What a Week!

Good Morning everybody,
This week is shaping up into a busy one, again. I have a portrait shoot this morning at 10a.m. - OUTDOORS!!! - it's 10 degrees out there. And my client wants it to look kind of warm - yep, warm in mid January in the Midwest. I'll post one of the images tomorrow - the Lord willin' I get one.

I'm working on a brand new lighting program - "How to Flash for Fun and Profit Without Getting Arrested" - for Photoshop World coming up in Orlando this April 2nd-4th. The tough part is getting the 10 page+ article completed for that phonebook sized information treasure trove call the Photoshop World workbook - hopefully by Wednesday, it will be wrapped.

Then Friday, we have the start of our KPPA convention right here in Covington, Ky and I'm one of the lead-off speakers. If any of you are in the neighborhood, this is one of the best photographic conventions to attend. Our speaker lineup is always first class. You can get all the KPPA convention info right here - maybe I'll see some of you there.

My program wraps at 12 p.m. and LaDawn and I head to the airport and catch a plane to New Orleans. Why, my good buddy, Ralph Romaguera is KING of the Carrollton Krewe this year at Mardi Gras and I'm one of the guys on the krewes throwing the beads - the weekend should be a hoot! I'll report back next week on this one. Anyway, on with today's news...

Friday Quicknotes

Good Morning Everybody,

Well, we made it thru another week around here - whew! Yesterday we hired a new employee for the studio. Michelle will be coming on board as are new Studio Manager. She will be responsible for Sales, Marketing, Photoshop, album design, raising gross sales by $1,000,000, and adding the new room addition to the current location - just kidding!! All kidding aside, we truly welcome Michelle on board. As we sadly say goodbye to Susan.

We are heading down to the Kentucky Professional Photographers Fall meeting the weekend where my friend, Ralph Romaguera from Nawlin's, will be giving a program on seniors and Photoshop. Ralph is a dynamite Senior and Portrait photographer Sandy Puc, another outstanding "Senior" shooter will also be presenting and my buddy, Dave Huntsman along with Jessica Vogel, are also part of the line up. It looks like a great conference. If you are a KY photographer, or any surrounding states you need to be there. LaDawn and I are looking forward to catching up with friends and learning a new trick or two from the outstanding line-up of speakers. Don't forget - tomorrow - I'll be on PhotoTalkRadio from 11 A.M. till noon. Hope to see you there.

Hey, it's a light day today so on with some news and tips....
