Now if you were to do a b/w and keep the blue eyes and enhance the contrast of the rest of the image to help show off the DOF then we may have harder time choosing.

As is the b/w is not as compelling as the original. Plus the b/w does not show off the DOF like the color version does, which also makes the b/w version look less vibrant and a bit dull. Not to be overly critical, who am I to critique you, but you did ask for our preference on this.Matt Heltsleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06510088637768499755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17534827.post-51486301367903925702008-08-18T12:33:00.000-04:002008-08-18T12:33:00.000-04:00I usually am the first one to convert to black and...I usually am the first one to convert to black and white, but those blue eyes are killer!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17534827.post-2968861655160347882008-08-18T10:41:00.000-04:002008-08-18T10:41:00.000-04:00To me, this is a color picture. Her blue eyes against the pale skin makes a wonderful study in contrast.

However, the reason for this post is to say thanks for the off-the-cuff remarks. Always carrying a camera ready to go when on the job is one of the distinctions between an experienced professional and a talented rookie. Most of us would have had to miss a few of these extraordinary photo (and sales) opportunities before we learned that lesson.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17534827.post-84143291304940198052008-08-18T07:51:00.000-04:002008-08-18T07:51:00.000-04:00Great image! I've just begun my first adventure into bloghood and you are part of the reason.

I continue to be amazed at all you accomplish; not only in blogging but also in training, both video and in person; now podcasting; and still have time to get behind a camera...especially for a man your age:)

But seriously, thanks.Earlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02811559737139926042noreply@blogger.com
