I'll process a few to have interesting b&w or sepia tones, maybe do a few other out-of-the-ordinary things. But mostly it's about getting the bride & groom pictures that they want to share with the people in their lives, not necessarily art. I do all the production work, plus have a full time job and try to have a social life too. Efficiency is important in my life, I've set up templates for certain jobs to make it easier on me. This article really brings home the importance of not wasting your time.Barbaranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17534827.post-43097753459842366192010-02-08T08:11:35.439-05:002010-02-08T08:11:35.439-05:00This has been a very thought provoking article. Will definitely be taking your ideas on-board.

Your concept reminds me about doing essays. Many people know they have a deadline but always leave it to the last minute and work efficiently during that time.

As you say, sometimes it's worth outsourcing work to a specialist rather than spending hours and hours in-house trying to create the same job.

Never seen Google Docs before so will be having a look at that.

All the best.Ben Mullayhttp://www.benmullay.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17534827.post-85855774437832202522010-02-05T11:44:43.202-05:002010-02-05T11:44:43.202-05:00Great article as always!

Saves me hours in Lightroom and Photoshop.

I also try to do one of three things when I'm processing my photos: work with the image in colour, convert it to black and white or sepia.

I know the trend right now is for a lot of actions and overlaying of textures and what not, but I find that sort of photo "tinkering" just kills my time. That's probably not a popular opinion right now, but oh well.Kathryn Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04016056763489482040noreply@blogger.com
